Welcome to The Consumer Health Informatics Review
This website contains a complication of the presentations from the 2008 Symposium of The Kay Center for E-Health Research at Claremont Graduate University. This two and one-half day course offered an in-depth look at the current research, systems, and practices in Consumer Health Informatics.

Course Overview
The purpose of this two and one-half day course was to increase the knowledge of clinicians on the needs of the consumer for using e-health systems to provide benefits throughout society. We offerd an in-depth look at the latest research, systems, and practice in Consumer Health Informatics. Each day featured a kick-off presentation by a distinguished lecturer posing a key question in which we explored key research findings and current systems for health management for use by diverse communities and consumers.
Special case study analysis sections provided a detailed view of consumer use of these systems. This course also provided an opportunity for educators to share their interests and experiences in providing a consumer health informatics perspective in the classroom.

This course was offered as a complement to "Patient Centered Computing and E-Health: Transforming Healthcare Quality" in Boston, MA through Harvard Medical School and the Center for Information Technology Leadership. Participants did not need to take the course in Boston to register for the Kay-CGU course. |
